Commissioning An Original Painting

| If you are interested in an original painting, I can offer an inclusive 'package' which includes the following: |
| 1. an initial consultation, by phone
or mail, to discuss the subject matter and how you would like it treated 2. an image by email of the painting in progress at about 80% completion so you can see how it is progressing and discuss any final details as necessary 3. postage, package and insurance of the final painting to a UK address 4. print no. 1/500 of the picture. The Paintings My medium is watercolour. I work only with pigments which I know to be absolutely light stable and paint on the finest acid-free watercolour paper. In my paintings I try to achieve accuracy of detail of ships combined with a degree of freedom of treatment of sea and sky, in order to try to capture a mood and offer a complete 'picture'. The Cost The cost of the package detailed above is £240 for a painting 20" x 13" (500mm x 330mm) approx. I need a deposit of £40 to start and payment of the balance at stage 2. I can paint other sizes on request. Source Material Good photographs are obviously crucial. I can work from your photos or from photos I have in stock, but I am also prepared to do some research at no charge with a couple of good local sources. Copyright In accordance with normal practice I will retain copyright and I will scan the image for my own purposes before despatch. However, if you should wish to reproduce your painting at any time, I am happy to grant joint copyright at no charge.
